Big changes are afoot at KashFlow Software. The company is planning to relocate from Essex to the London Bridge area within the next 8 weeks in order to be in a better position to further grow the business.

The company provides award-winning,  jargon-free accounting software direct to UK small businesses and via accountancy practices. To date, the board has consisted of founder Duane Jackson and Chairman Lord Young of Graffham.

Speaking about the changes, Lord Young said “KashFlow has grown very quickly and has reached an interesting stage. The business is now well established and making a profit from the SaaS (software as a service) model – so now we’re focussing on planning for the next phase of growth.”

“Relocating to London is the next logical step. It’s difficult to recruit good staff where the business is currently based and being in London gives us easy access to some of our key partners.”

Michelle Gorsuch joins the board to head the accountants division of the company. She joined the company in January 2008 after spending a number of years in the recruitment industry. She has quickly grown the accountants division to the point where it now accounts for close to 50% of the company’s annual revenue.

“Michelle’s past performance at the company speaks for itself” says Jackson, “Once I’d made the decision to devolve some responsibility she was the obvious choice for this role”

Incoming CTO, Tim McOwan, has both an accountancy and a technical background that makes him ideal for the role. Having automated many accounting processes at horticultural provider Farplants whilst studying towards the AAT qualification, he went on to study for an MBA at Kingston University. He’s since been leading a development team at Creatormail, the multi award winning email marketing agency.

“Tim will oversee all technical aspects of the company, improvements to our existing products and development of new products” says Jackson “I’ve known Tim in a professional capacity for a number of years and have wanted to bring him in to KashFlow for some time. When the opportunity came around, I grabbed it. His skills and expertise will be invaluable to the company during our next stage of growth”

Duane Jackson will continue in his role as CEO and will have more time to concentrate on commercial and strategic matters.
