"I chose KashFlow as I wanted something I could use straightaway, without having to have in-depth knowledge of accountancy and trawling through manuals and help guides.
I trialed a couple of other products but could not work out how to make them work for my business.
KashFlow is very intuitive and I was able to get up and running in a matter of minutes.
We have a very simple business model (hair salons) where we take customer payment immediately and most of our suppliers are paid similarly.
I am able to enter daily sales as a single end-of-day entry, splitting customer payments by card, cash or cheque. Purchases are easy to log and track, and armed with this and our sales, the VAT report is done.
My priority was to be able to record sales and purchases, the bank part is next on my list of things-to-do.
The fact that it's accessible from anywhere is also useful as I operate out of 3 different offices depending on the day. Also I don't have to worry about backups, I trust that to you guys to keep my accounts safe and always available.
Security is not the big issue for me, being able to access the information is, and trusting that it will be there if the VAT man calls.

Ability to mark bank transactions as reconciled when creating them
Weve made it easier to reconcile transactions on the go. When creating or editing a bank item you will now see a checkbox which says reconcile. If you tick this box it will automatically add it to the list of reconciled transactions saving you time when running through the bank reconciliation later. To use this feature you need to go to Bank > View/Add Transactions and clicking on any bank transaction that isnt the result of a payment to an invoice or receipt.
